Jeanne Casares, Assistant Vice President & Chief Information Officer, Information and Technology Services, Rochester Institute of Technology will serve as the moderator.
Jeanne comes to Rochester Institute of Technology (Rochester, NY) from Paychex Corporation (Rochester, NY) after a 15 year career in Information Technology. She began on the business side of the Paychex organization in 1994, and led the creation of a web division responsible for building and maintaining web infrastructure, applications and services for both clients and employees.
Recognizing that the concept of service management (ITIL) was becoming increasingly important to both the business and IT organizations, she moved into a director role leading service management activities at a divisional level including support, change management, service level management, and testing and release services. Additionally, she has experience in developing and presenting employee training and leadership programs.
Her start at RIT in fall of 2008 marked a return to higher education; she began her professional career at Syracuse University and at the University of Michigan. Prior to joining Paychex and RIT, Jean owned a small business and also lived abroad. She was born and raised in New Jersey, where she attended The College of New Jersey, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Masters of Education degree in Higher Education.
Marie Northrup, Information Technology Director for the YMCA of Greater Rochester. Marie manages a team of 4. She has worked in IT for over 25 years for the YMCA of Greater Rochester. As IT Director she is responsible for project management and implementation of software applications and hardware platforms. She has managed and deployed numerous cost saving software and hardware upgrades from legacy systems. Marie oversees over 300 desktops and laptops along with over 350 Internet Protocol (IP) phones on the network. Marie’s strengths are not only her technology stills but her business skills, to streamline the organization’s business practices using technology to benefit the end user.
Marie was solely responsible for the development of the Application Software Provider (ASP) Model. This enables small YMCA’s to take advantage of the YMCA of Greater Rochester’s technical resources. Its mission is to provide technical expertise in both hardware and software at an affordable price.
Marie graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management, with highest honors. Marie serves as a YMCA mentor to new staff. She was a 2003 Nominee for Association for Women in Computing, Upstate New York Chapter.
Victoria Viglucci, Chief Information Officer for Greater Rochester Independent Practice Association. Victoria serves as an officer of the company and works in concert with the GRIPA President and Chief Medical Officer to develop strategic direction for the company, develop goals and objectives, and oversee implementation. She provides vision and leadership in the development and implementation of Information Technology in order to support GRIPA strategic initiatives. Victoria leads the planning and implementation of clinical, financial, and analytical systems applications to support both distributed and centralized clinical and business operations and achieve more effective and cost beneficial enterprise-wide IT operations. She provides strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the information and technology systems for the GRIPA physician community and affiliated networks.
Victoria graduated from Brockport State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
