Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Communications Writer is responsible for gathering all information required to write IEHP member, provider, partner, community relations, and internal materials. The Communications Writer will provide strategic support for IEHP’s communications and public relations initiatives and is also responsible for project management from the first stage of creative development to its project completion. To develop all materials requested, the Communications Writer will work with applicable departments to develop the strategic/creative criteria and work with the graphic designers and coordinators to ensure all projects are completed and delivered on time.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years experience (3-5 years) in writing, formulating copy and editing in the following industries: Hospital, Health Plan, Advertising, Health Care, Publishing, Public Relations, Government/Grant Writing, Political Campaigns, or other relevant industry. Bi-lingual Spanish is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe InDesign CS5, PC and MAC. Bachelor degree in communications, literature, history, marketing, public relations or related field from an accredited four-year institution required.
