The Louisiana Workforce Commission will hold a seminar for employers on electronic filing of quarterly wage and tax reports on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the South Regional Library, 6101 Johnston St., Lafayette, LA 70503.
The seminar, which is free of charge, will address the requirements and advantages of electronic filing of quarterly wage and tax reports.
Informational packets will be handed out that detail step-by-step procedures.
By law, all businesses reporting 100 or more employees must file electronically after January 31, 2012. Also, by 2014, the electronic filing requirement will apply to all employers. Business Owners, HR Professionals, CPA's, and others are encouraged to attend. RSVP for the seminar by January 13, 2012, with the number of employees attending (limit 2 per company) and include the company's State ID number.
