Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for LASHRM’s legislative day at the Louisiana state capitol.  We will meet to discuss the status of pending legislation, and LASHRM’s position on the issues.  We will discuss how to talk to and what issues to discuss with your legislators.  We will have an early lunch and then walk to the capitol where we will have a table set up in the Rotunda.  Members will have an opportunity to try to visit with their representatives or senators.  Because the legislative schedule is unpredictable, we will not know exactly what will be on the schedule until closer to the date of our visit. 

9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.:         Welcome

                                                Baton Rouge, Louisiana

10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.:       Review legislation and discuss issues to address with your legislators

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:      Lunch

12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.:        Leave for the Capitol and visit with legislators

                                                (The ending time is flexible.  Please join us for as long as you can.)
