America’s Pizza Company, located in Lafayette, LA, is seeking to fill the position of Director of Human Resources. Our organization is comprised of 126 Pizza Hut locations across five states and employs nearly 3,000 associates. The Director of Human Resources will report directly to the CFO and will collaborate intimately with the COO, operations and administrative teams. The ideal candidate will be a successful HR leader with “hands-on” experience with all facets of the HR function in a high-performing organization and will drive the development and implementation of strategic, practical and effective HR solutions.
Essential Responsibilities of Position • Leading and developing the HR Manager, Risk & Benefits Manager along with other members of the HR Team • Collaborative partner in the development of strategic business plans and implementation of same into HR strategic and operational plans • Evaluating, enhancing and implementing best practices for performance management, compensation, benefits & risk administration • Talent recruiting and retention for all positions in organization • Responsible for all aspects of employee relations including on-boarding, development, recognition, terminations, warnings and other components of progressive discipline • Ensuring compliance with all federal and state employment laws • Lead role in all legal aspects of HR including the review of all employment offers, agreements and other contracts that pertain to HR
Personal Skills, Attributes & Qualifications • 3+ years of HR leadership experience and 7+ years of HR experience in a multi-state environment • Indisputable level of professional and personal integrity • Must have strong influencing and interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust, foster relationships and deliver professional HR services • Driven self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit • Ability to think strategically, be proactive and convert insights into action • Well organized with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure while managing/meeting frequent and changing deadlines • Must have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills • Intimate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to become proficient in other HR systems • Project management skills • A strong desire for continuous improvement • Travel up to 15% of the time required for position
