The Manager, HR Operations will provide management, planning, and project coordination for the development of a cost-effective team while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the HR organization. The manager will have responsibility for the full design, administration and analytics provided by the HRIS, Benefits, and HR Services team to both internal and external partners including employees, candidates, HR team members, business leaders, retirees, vendors, and others. This includes managing and building relationships, developing and evolving processes, coordinating efforts with other teams to proactively mature the group/processes to meet and exceed the company’s needs through a high level of exceptional service.
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or Computer Science; or Master’s degree in Business or Human Resources, preferred. •10+ years’ experience working in a support/services environment, preferably in human resources •4+ years management experience •Compliance-minded and detail-oriented with knowledge of human resources policies, state and federal employment laws, and ability to gain a deep understanding of benefit plans. •Maintains high level of discretion with confidential material. Embraces a higher standard whenever handling employee information. •Engaging with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Promotes proactive approaches using the company's HRIS to solve business needs/problems, while also enhancing the understanding of the HRIS capabilities.
Maintains awareness of vendor plans and the potential impact of those plans on current and future functionality.
Ensure the use of HR analytics for making people decisions by delivering consistent insights, embedded in day-to-day processes to drive action.
Develop HR service center overseeing HRIS systems input, inquiries, as well as other centralized HR transactional processes including leave of absences, and other programs.
Realizes HR Services operational excellence by embracing intelligent process automation to drive efficiency while boosting service levels via a user-experience mindset.
Manages the benefits function and subject-matter expert for benefits design and administration related to all Cleco benefits including medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, life insurance, supplemental products, in addition to programs such as health and wellness, employee assistance, and leave of absence.
Reviews and serves as authorized signor and approver of all plan documents, contracts, agreements and billing for accuracy and compliance working closely with ERISA counsel.
Oversee benefits reporting preparation, analysis, and distribution including reconciliations.
Ensure internal audits are favorable and provides support on external audits.
Conducts presentation and training on various benefits topics and develops benefits communication materials
Must participate on external boards and internal committees related to benefits; in addition, attends external events to represent Cleco’s benefits function
