The Manager, Talent Strategy will be responsible for leading and developing a holistic talent management and development approach. The role will also design and develop programs, tools, processes and practices that enable Cleco to attract, motivate, and develop the talent required to achieve its strategic initiatives.
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or Organizational Psychology; or, Master’s degree or PhD in Business, Human Resources, or Organizational Psychology preferred. •8+ years of experience in human resources focused on talent management •Worked with Senior Leadership on people strategies. Designed and implemented talent strategies at an enterprise Level. •Implemented complex change management •Deep functional expertise in talent management •Change management leadership •Program management design for employee experience, outcomes and value delivered expertise •Facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills •Deep understand of effective coaching strategies and techniques
Manage the entire talent function and needs to be comfortable with and enjoy the challenges of working at multiple levels across the organization, as well as working collaboratively with colleagues. This includes designing and improving program strategies as well as rolling up his/her sleeves to implement these programs in partnership with the business.
Drives execution of talent reviews and succession planning at company including senior leadership levels. He/she will partner closely with the leaders to ensure alignment between talent review outcomes and action on development plans.
Responsible for workforce planning by creatively and innovatively partnering with leaders, colleagues, and the community to define and improve how we think about attracting and developing future leaders for the company.
Develops a customized strategy to attract and recruit top talent for Cleco.
Deepen the partnership with the Manager, Corp Training and Diversity & Inclusion to ensure that our evolving D&I strategies are well reflected in talent reviews, succession planning and talent acquisition.
Manages Talent Acquisition and ensures outcomes of succession plans are integrated into future talent planning requirements. Partners with HR Business Partners to ensure outcomes of performance management, talent reviews employee engagement, and succession plans are translated into follow-up actions.
Oversees performance management and its integration with other talent processes especially talent reviews and succession planning. This work is delivered in close partnership with HR Business Partners.
Measures and assesses talent practices and processes. Evaluate solutions for quality, impact, scalability and sustainability. Continually seeks improvement opportunities and establish methods for sustained adoption.
