Job Description
Leading Health Care of Louisiana (LHCL), a Home and Community Based Provider for the elderly and persons with disabilities, is seeking a Director of Human Resources.
Mission: Make a lasting contribution to society by helping people live a better life.
• Ensure that all employees of LHCL are properly screened, orientated, trained, educated, evaluated and that the requirements for personnel are met.
• Increase efficiency and effectiveness of recruitment and retention of employees.
• Recruit, screen, interview and assist in selecting applicants to fill administrative positions in all regions.
• Create and maintain policies and documents that comply with all state and federal applicable laws and regulations as well as guidelines established by DHH, Medicaid, and LHCL.
• Keep abreast of HR practices.
• Manage all aspects of FMLA, worker's compensation, unemployment claims, hires/separations, etc...
• Periodically monitor, maintain standards for, and train of HR compliance in regional offices.
• Promote and market LHCL in the local community within the permissible standards.
• Establish and maintain a professional and open line of communication with affiliates of LHCL.
• Attend and participate in routine planning meetings.
• Model the LHCL values of Compassion, Trust, Integrity, and Accountability.
• Additional tasks related to human resources as requested.
• BA/BS degree in Human Services field required.
• Two years industry/HR experience preferred.
• Must satisfactorily pass all required and applicable State & Federal eligibility verifications including background, driving and other checks.
• Must be able to accept 24/7 responsibility to ensure the community based services provided by LHCL are of the highest quality.
• Must have strong supervisory, communication and organizational skills.
• Must maintain knowledge and be aware of changes made to programs in which LHCL provides services of.
• Must have the ability to network, interact with members of the community, and direct and supervise LHCL personnel on a professional level.
• Advanced computer skills, also to include Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal, written, and analytical abilities.
• Must be able to operate office equipment.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation (some travel)

Office hours are 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
