General Marshall Webb, Commander of Air Force Special Ops Command
Thursday, April 27, 2017
General Webb is the commander of Air Force Special Operations Command, the most combat intensive command in the Air Force and the air component to U.S. Special Operations Command. AFSOC's Airmen conduct precision strike, specialized air mobility, and global special operations missions including the infiltration and exfiltration of Army Special Forces and Navy SEAL teams. Alongside these special operators are the Air Force's elite Special Tactics Airmen, some of the most intensively-trained ground combat warriors on the planet. On any given night General Webb has Air Commandos in 40+ countries worldwide, battling international terrorism.
General Webb's face is known by millions. He is the military member in the middle of the iconic White House photo taken during the Usama bin Laden raid, flanked by President Obama, Secretary Clinton, Vice President Biden and others. Photo http://time.com/84553/osama-bin-laden-situation-room/
